We are pleased to invite students to apply for the CEEPUS Summer School in Biotechnology, hosted by the Faculty of Food Technology Osijek, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek (Croatia).
This intensive short-term programme offers a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge biotechnology topics while gaining international experience in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.

The summer school focuses on the role of biotechnology in addressing global challenges through science and sustainability, covering:

Programme Highlights
🗓 Duration: 29 June – 4 July 2026
- Day 1: Welcome session & Science Café (Colours of Biotechnology)
- Day 2: Food & Industrial Biotechnology + Workshop on biorefinery design
- Day 3: Medical Biotechnology + Field visit + Cultural trip (Vukovar & Vučedol Museum)
- Day 4: Environmental Biotechnology + Field course (wastewater & composting)
- Day 5: Lab tours + Entrepreneurship in Biotechnology + Certification ceremony
- Day 6 (optional): Visit to Kopački Rit Nature Park
Funding & Benefits
Through the CEEPUS programme, selected students will receive:
- 💶 26 EUR/day scholarship
- 🏠 Free accommodation (student dormitory, double rooms)
- ✈️ Possible travel reimbursement (depending on home country rules)
Who Can Apply?
- Bachelor and Master students
- Students enrolled at institutions participating in a CEEPUS network
- First-year students are eligible (with study progress verification before mobility)
