Furthermore, the program equips young graduates with analytical skills to understand and address current plant protection challenges faced by various stakeholders in the country, while also ensuring the academic continuity and development of the Department of Plant Protection.

The Plant Protection-Phytomedicine study program has a long term vision focused on creating opportunities for the younger generation by modernizing and reforming the education system in line with labor market requirements in Kosovo, as well as supporting regional and European integration in the field of plant protection.

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY PROGRAM

The overall objective of the Plant Protection-Phytomedicine study program is to educate and prepare students for scientific and research work in the field of plant protection. Students are trained to use contemporary scientific literature in order to acquire the knowledge necessary to define research directions.

The program equips students with the ability to formulate scientific hypotheses, plan and conduct research, select appropriate research methodologies, and interpret research results through critical analysis and logical conclusions. Upon completion of the study program, graduates will become experts with enhanced knowledge and competencies for scientific and research activities in the field of plant protection.

Another specific objective of the Plant Protection-Phytomedicine study program is to strengthen cooperation with partners through various projects with other universities, both nationally and internationally. The program emphasizes the continued promotion of interdisciplinary cooperation within the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary (FAV), among academic units of the University of Pristina, as well as local, regional, European, and broader inter university collaboration.

The curriculum of the Plant Protection-Phytomedicine study program is based on a selected reference model, namely the International Joint Workshop on Plant Health developed under the TEMPUS IV project (158875-TEMPUS-1-2009-1-IT-TEMPUS-JPCR), involving participating universities from region and Europe. The curriculum includes a structured list of compulsory and elective modules, along with detailed module descriptions.
